Monday, July 14, 2025 (12:00 PM - 1:00 PM) (EDT)

Description

A Virtual Follow-Up to the 2025 State of the Community Report

📅 Monday, July 14, 2025
🕛 12:00 - 1:00pm
💻 Zoom | Complimentary for 2025 State of the Community Attendees

Join us for a virtual lunchtime conversation as we continue the critical dialogue on education in Greater Chapel Hill-Carrboro—a key topic from this year's State of the Community Report.

This session will feature Chamber President and CEO Aaron Nelson, who will present updated data on long-tracked indicators including reading proficiency, graduation rates, post-secondary plans, and the lasting impacts of COVID-19 on student performance.

We’ll also be joined by Dr. Rodney Trice, the new Superintendent of Chapel Hill-Carrboro City Schools. Dr. Trice will share his early vision, respond to the data, discuss what he's prioritizing, what challenges he faces, and how the community can support local students. Expect a brief data framing followed by an interactive Q&A and open discussion.

This event is complimentary for all 2025 State of the Community Report attendees.
Grab your lunch and log in to keep the conversation going.
