Chamber Welcomes New Vice President for Membership, Rebecca Dickenson

CHAPEL HILL, NC – Today, the Chapel Hill-Carrboro Chamber of Commerce welcomed Rebecca Dickenson as the new Vice President for Membership.

 

“We are pleased and excited to welcome Rebecca Dickenson as our Vice President for Membership,” said Aaron Nelson, President and CEO of the Chapel Hill-Carrboro Chamber of Commerce. “Rebecca is an expert in business-to-business marketing and customer service training, and has a passion for helping local businesses meet their goals.”

 

Dickenson will direct the staff and activities of the Chamber’s Membership Division. Through this role, she will ensure the delivery of excellent member services and programming as well as connect members with marketing and communication opportunities to successfully engage both community and customers.


She brings more than a decade of experience leading consultative media marketing, sales and small business support. Most recently, she served as Advertising Director for The Daily Tar Heel, where she trained and supervised a team of 18 part-time sales representatives and managed the business relationships and sales for The Daily Tar Heel, Southern Neighbor, and 1893 Brand Studio. Previously, she served as Advertising Director for The Duke Chronicle and spent three years with Curtis Media.

 

“I am honored to work with the Chamber to help local businesses save money and connect with the information and resources they need,” said Dickenson. “I’m excited that this role gives me the opportunity to help make our community a great place to start and grow a business.”

 

Dickenson has been an active member of the Chamber for the last three years and the Chamber team have enjoyed working closely with her and The Daily Tar Heel during that time. 

 

“We’ve enjoyed collaborating with Rebecca over the years and are delighted to have her join the Chamber’s professional staff in this important leadership position,” said Nelson. “The Chamber and our business community will benefit from Rebecca’s experience and commitment to our community, and I’m confident local business and community leaders will enjoy working with her,” Nelson continued.
