Grata Cafe Celebrates Ribbon Cutting

Carrboro Business Alliance

With Carrboro Mayor Linda Lavelle and Town Manager Richard White, Grata Café celebrated its grand opening with a ribbon cutting on October 14.

Owner Jay Radford celebrated the special event with his family and loyal customers in hand.

“We are built on four things at Grate Café: kindness, patience, gratitude, and community,” said Radford. “We have a big, clean environment and we are a safe space for everyone to enjoy.”

Grata Café boasts Italian-themed cuisine with an extensive wine and beer list. The space features an open dining room and patio that can seat up to forty individuals. The café offers counter service for its handmade dishes and is debuting a delivery service in the coming weeks.

In addition to offering employees a living wage, Grata Café prides itself on the safe-space atmosphere Radford and his team have created.
